Since I was about twelve years old, God placed a vision in my heart to love orphaned children in Africa. I used to tell everyone that one day I’d have 300 children.

I began volunteering with a child sponsorship program in 2008 — making profile packets, sorting photos and letters, and stuffing envelopes to mail to donors. In 2010 I led my first team to Uganda and fell in love: with the country, the culture, our incredible staff, and of course the children. In 2012 I stepped into full-time ministry, raising my own salary and leading as the only full-time staff. For the past 18 years, I have had the privilege of serving in nearly every role within sponsorship ministry — coordinating, planning, strategizing, and leading the meaningful work of connecting children and staff with the sponsors who love, encourage, and support them.

That first year we walked through a major crisis with our Ugandan leadership and rebuilt the ministry from the ground up on a new property, alongside two faithful staff. It was a crisis that became a blessing in disguise — walking that closely with our Ugandan team taught me more about Uganda, its people, sponsorship, and culture than I could have learned any other way. We literally watched the hand of God provide for and protect His children. During those same years, I adopted my sweet daughter, Zelda, and learned to parent from our remarkable Ugandan executive director.

Over the years, I have spent extended time in Uganda and continue to return yearly, standing in the gap between the children we serve and the supporters back home. All these years in, there is still nothing greater than watching how God transforms a child’s heart, hope, and joy over time. I’ve celebrated more than 100 graduates, and today our program serves just over 300 children — the very number I dreamed of as a girl.

In 2024, I founded KidsCatalyst to share what God has grown in me and to walk alongside ministries serving children. Through coaching and strategic support, KidsCatalyst helps leaders build healthy, sustainable programs for orphaned and vulnerable children and families.

After years of coordinating sponsorship communication firsthand and working with other sponsorship organizations, I kept seeing the same challenge: ministries deeply value the connection between children and sponsors, but the logistics of keeping that communication organized can become overwhelming. KidsCircle was developed from that need — a simple, focused, high-quality tool created to save ministries time, simplify logistics, and keep sponsorship communication meaningful and personal.

Why KidsCircle

KidsCircle exists to give organizations back their most precious resource — time. By making sponsor communication easier to manage, ministries can spend less energy tracking details and more time loving the children, staff, and sponsors they serve. At its heart, KidsCircle protects what matters most: the personal connection between a child and sponsor that becomes a lifeline of hope, faith, and transformation.

I know what it takes to keep hundreds of children connected to their sponsors — letters, photos, birthday greetings, translated notes, printed packets, reminders, and constant coordination. I have spent countless hours labeling photos, chasing letters across email, Google Drive, WhatsApp, and Facebook, helping children write, sorting, printing, folding, stuffing, and hoping every child received the right letter with nothing missing. I know the frustration, but I also know the joy of watching a child open a letter from their sponsor and seeing a sponsor moved by a letter from their child. Healthy sponsorship is a beautiful picture of the global church walking together.

My husband and I designed KidsCircle from over 18 years of real sponsorship experience. Every feature came from a real need — easy reminders, photo labeling, simple sorting and printing, child and sponsor profiles, one-click uploads for field staff, age-appropriate templates, organized downloads, and clear tracking of who has written and who is still missing.
